About the Role
As a Senior Relationship Assistant, you will serve in a highly responsible operational and administrative capacity, supporting Relationship Officers and Banking Center leadership in achieving loan production, portfolio management, and client service goals. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in coordinating loan workflow activities, prioritizing multiple transactions and deadlines, reviewing loan documentation for accuracy and compliance, resolving operational issues, and facilitating communication between internal and external business partners.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review loan files for completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate with loan documentation teams.
- Manage post-close follow-up activities.
- Oversee loan exception tracking and portfolio reporting.
- Coordinate third-party reports, including appraisals, title work, environmental investigations, insurance documentation, flood searches, and UCC filings.
- Support construction lending activities, loan disbursements, collateral releases, payoff preparation, and loan servicing functions.
- Maintain accurate loan records and ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, analytical ability, initiative, and sound decision-making while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of banking, commercial lending, or loan operations experience.
- Experience reviewing loan documentation and coordinating loan processing activities.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Desired Skills
- 5+ years of commercial or small business lending support experience.
- 3+ years of lending documentation or loan administration experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial loan documentation, collateral, and portfolio management processes.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion with confidential financial information.
- Strong work ethic and ability to complete work accurately and efficiently.
- Logical thinking to analyze situations and make sound decisions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capacity to work with multiple computer and software systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment
- Must be able to sit at a desk and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
