Commercial Banker I or II
About the role
The position involves identifying, soliciting, developing, managing, servicing, retaining, and growing long-term profitable commercial relationships for clients with $10MM to $100MM in annual sales. Responsibilities include offering a full range of loan, deposit, and fee-based services to existing and prospective commercial clients, leveraging the CCB Industry & Advisory teams, and creating the optimal client experience.
Responsibilities
- Leverage the Truist Sales Process, Financial Insights, and the Industry & Advisory team to consistently deliver a differentiated client experience in all client, prospect, and COI interactions.
- Manage, service, and grow an assigned book of commercial banking clients.
- Execute on prospecting activities to grow new commercial banking households.
- Understand and contribute to the credit decisioning process, including analysis and interpretation of financial statements, credit structuring, underwriting requirements, policy knowledge, risk identification and mitigation, all in accordance with the Truist credit risk appetite.
- Focus on driving continual improvement in portfolio revenue growth and new production revenue.
- Proactively contact clients to fully develop commercial banking relationships by executing on Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) principles. Include the identification of all business and personal financial needs and bringing in the appropriate partners to deliver Truist solutions.
- Maintain and update sales activity, pipeline, and other pertinent information using the Bank’s client relationship management (CRM) system.
- Execute on all risk, operational, policy, and quality expectations related to assigned client portfolio.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years working experience or equivalent education and related training.
- One year related experience in banking or financial services.
- Basic understanding of credit and finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
