Responsibilities
- Conduct formal appraisals of real property or land for a variety of clients including lenders, attorneys, municipalities, and individual owners.
- Provide an unbiased, comprehensive, and professional opinion of market value.
- Examine all variables that impact the property’s value, including but not limited to, property history, neighborhood, sales data, and comparable sales.
- Comply with USPAP and keep informed of all current regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Hold an appraisal license (trainee, licensed or certified) and be in good standing.
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Knowledge and experience searching online to obtain market data for comparative analysis
- MS Office skills, preferably advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of financial math
- Utilization of technology
- Able to communicate well with clients and coworkers, both written and orally
- Able to self-start
- Able to work independently
- Able to multi-task
- Able to solve problems
- Possess sound judgement, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
