Commercial Account Manager/ Business Development Manager (Greater Boston, MA & Nashville, TN)
About the role
The Commercial Account Manager/ Business Development Manager position at the premier integrator, redefining client experiences through leading-edge technology, is focused on bringing the power of technology to create new experiences in smart homes, smart enterprises, and smart venues. This role requires generating new business and sales of high-end audio-visual systems, collaborating with engineers and team members, and managing and overseeing proposals.
Responsibilities
- Business development, cold calling, and internet marketing to develop new business
- Interface with customers to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements to identify solutions and business opportunities
- Perform site visits to document field conditions, taking pictures, verifying room dimensions, and checking above the ceiling
- Document initial system descriptions and equipment lists for engineers' finalization
- Develop AV functional diagrams of major components
- Generate proposals, including areas of concern, scope of service, schedule, and payment terms
- Submit sales order packages (PO, signed proposal, equipment list, major contractors, and schedule)
- Attend project meetings as required
- Manage and oversee proposal content and prepare orders as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain and/or expand sales within an assigned territory
- Forecast demand for products within the assigned territory
- Serve as a point of escalation for issues or activities encountered during product utilization
- Prepare and conduct technical/product presentations and demonstrations
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school
- Minimum 2 years of low voltage, audio-video, lighting, and/or shades sales experience in a commercial or residential sales environment
- Proven track record of achieving $2M in annual sales
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed an annual sales quota of $1.5M
- Travel requirements: occasional travel dependent on business needs

Pay
$90,000 - $160,000 /yr depending on background and experience
