The New York Post Internship Program offers a dynamic, hands-on experience designed to give interns exposure to real world work within the media and news industry. Our interns are highly valued team members who work on meaningful projects that directly impact our business. Throughout the program, interns participate in career building masterclasses that support their professional growth and have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with peers and key leaders in the company.

The New York Post is looking for a part-time Commerce Partnerships Intern (24 hrs/week) to join our team and gain hands-on experience in e-commerce and brand partnerships. Note: This internship is scheduled to run from September 14, 2026 - November 20, 2026. Participants are expected to work part time hours and adhere to our on-site work schedule. Open to current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching and identifying potential brand partners for future e-commerce collaborations
  • Proactively identify, opt into, create and/or share daily revenue-generating opportunities, while continuously scoping and evaluating new monetization initiatives to drive incremental growth
  • Help the team with sales pitches and building strong, lasting relationships with brands
  • Ensure billing accuracy for e-commerce campaigns and partnerships
  • Stay up to date on all tasks, deadlines, and project status to ensure smooth operations
  • Support with the organization and tracking of partnership agreements and deliverables
  • Gain exposure to media-based e-commerce strategies, helping to bring editorial content to life through commerce-driven partnerships
  • Conduct regular performance reviews of paid campaigns and support optimization with data-driven recommendations
  • Develop performance recap reports and summary insights for paid campaigns
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with our commerce editorial and social media marketing/distribution interns to execute campaigns and support shared initiatives
  • Coordinate the flow of routine partnership updates and exclusive brand offers to the editorial team to provide visibility into high-value opportunities for consideration in aligning content priorities

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) and comfortable with Microsoft Excel
  • A passion for e-commerce, digital sales, and building relationships with brands
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in learning about the intersection of media, e-commerce, and digital content strategies

Pay

Base Pay Range: $20/hour - $20/hour. We’re committed to offering competitive and flexible compensation to attract top talent. This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
