About the role

Northeast Security is hiring for a Command Center / Dispatch / GSOC (Global Security Operations Center) Security Officer for our Command Center in Boston. Prior dispatch or command center/control center experience in a fast-paced environment is required; prior law enforcement dispatch is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the camera monitoring and alarm systems of 60+ properties, including Fire Alarm systems, Access control systems, and video surveillance.
• Utilize multiple alert systems and ensure information is correctly actioned, routed, and distributed to necessary parties.
• Multitask across multiple computer screens and systems, understanding the responsibility and liability of each alarm, and notifying the correct client/tenant.
• De-escalate irate tenant/customer calls and access requests.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English (both written and verbal).
• Answer incoming lines and alarms.
• Remain calm and work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate with on-site security personnel and local emergency services.
• Write detailed reports on incidents that occur on the premises daily.
• Comply with all requirements/directives within the on-site operations manual/post orders.
• Assume other duties as required by either Client or Northeast Security, Inc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must successfully pass all pre-employment background and drug screenings.
• Dependable means of transportation.
• Learn and be knowledgeable of all company policies and procedures.
• Prior dispatch or command center experience in a fast-paced environment (prior law enforcement dispatch preferred).
• Computer literacy, including working in MS Windows, Outlook, and multiple alarm monitoring and video surveillance platforms.
