Community Engagement Business Development Team Lead

Talented professionals are needed to lead the outreach efforts for JerseySTEM's afterschool STEM programs for underrepresented middle school girls.

  • Identify, reach out to, and engage with Middle Schools of interest that could benefit from our afterschool STEM programs.
  • Manage a team of Area Managers responsible for specific regions or specific schools.
  • Partner with the Data Analytics team to identify Schools of interest that could partner with JerseySTEM, amongst New Jersey 2000+ middle schools according to criteria established by the board of Directors.
  • Research schools, identify stakeholders (School admins), and locate their contacts.
  • Assign schools to Area Managers and agree on targets/goals for the outreach.
  • Partner with Area managers to call on schools identified as targets.
  • Conduct/Attend virtual team meetings weekly (Sundays 6pm EST).
  • Participate in the COME leadership team activities.

Requirements

  • Genuine concern about/interest in solving the STEM education gender gap.
  • Interest and familiarity with Data and data based decision making.
  • Interest and/or familiarity with K-12 school data.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Resourceful, can-do attitude.
  • Comfort working in a 'virtual organization' with digital tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, salesforce).
  • Flexible schedule to allow for day time calls with the school admins during the work week.

  • Time Commitment: 3-6 Hours weekly
  • Minimum Commitment: 6 Months
