Combustion and Emissions Systems Engineer

About the role

This entry-level position focuses on thermal and fluid sciences within the context of combustion and emissions science. The role is part of a two-year engineering rotation program that provides hands-on experience in product compliance and regulatory affairs. Participants will engage in engine and vehicle emissions testing, data analysis, and tool development to support compliance decisions. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams while building technical expertise in emissions and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Investigate product, system, and technology problems related to thermal and fluid sciences.
• Perform engine and vehicle emissions and OBD compliance testing.
• Analyze engineering and compliance data to support product certification.
• Develop data processing, visualization, and automation tools and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while building technical expertise in emissions, diagnostics, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis, visualization, or automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in interpreting engineering data.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn through both hands-on testing and data-driven engineering.

Pay

$67,200 - $100,800 per year
