Combination Building Inspector

About the role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Building Official. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building codes and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations
• Inspect construction sites to ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards
• Issue permits and maintain accurate records of all issued permits
• Provide technical guidance and training to contractors and developers
• Respond to inquiries from the public and other stakeholders regarding building codes and regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspection or related field
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with building permit systems
• Knowledge of construction materials and techniques

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually
