Combination Building Inspector

About the role

SAFEbuilt is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Building Official. The ideal candidate will have experience in plan review, inspection, and code enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure adherence to approved plans and safety standards.
• Enforce local building codes and regulations, including fire safety and accessibility requirements.
• Communicate with contractors, architects, and property owners to address concerns and resolve issues related to building permits and inspections.
• Prepare reports and documentation as required by regulatory bodies and city ordinances.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in building inspection, plan review, or code enforcement.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with building permit systems and software.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
