Combat Systems Engineering Technician (AN/BYG-1)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Combat Control Systems (AN/BYG-1) Engineering Technician to support efforts in Groton, CT.

Responsibilities

• Technical evaluation and performance of corrective actions for AN/BYG-1 systems in accordance with DoD, Navy Maintenance Procedures, and Cyber System instructions
• Aid in the disassembly, reassembly, installation, and testing of AN/BYG-1 systems on submarines
• Support various engineering tasks including installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and operation of AN/BYG-1 systems
• Assist with test and evaluation
• Perform validations/verifications of AN/BYG-1 systems
• Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
• Engage in systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
• Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
• Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts

Requirements

• Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Technical (Military/Trade) school/training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience or an equivalent
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, repairing networking equipment and Windows servers and workstations
