AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System Engineering Technician

Atlas Tech is a rapidly expanding company supporting the U.S. Military and other Government entities and we are seeking a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Technology professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide support in a variety of engineering tasks in the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, operation of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System in accordance with engineering specifications
• Support systems engineering activities with subject matter expertise
• Afford assistance with testing and evaluations; perform validations/verifications of the AN/BYG-1 Combat Control System
• Afford assistance in the disassembly, reassembly, installation and testing of the AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat Control System
• Afford assistance in accomplishing Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs)
• Develop technical and/or engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements
• Be the direct on-site customer interface for equipment/systems installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed
• Comply with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, and system specifications and test procedures; review change proposals for equipment impacts

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Possession of and the ability to maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing computer networking equipment and Windows Servers and Workstations
• Self-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to quality and teamwork
• A passion for learning
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder
• Must be able to ride on a boat or submarine during testing
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• Technical (Military/Trade) school/training beyond high school and at least 5 years of job-related experience

Skills

• U.S. Navy Combat Systems and network equipment experience
• AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System Experience
