Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and treat clinical patients to meet their medical needs
• Provide materials and resources for patient and family wellness, prevention, and early detection
• Determine referrals based on examination and patient needs
• Determine urgency of follow-up and appointment scheduling
• Prescribe medical treatment and clinical drugs
• Order studies, tests, and ancillary services
• Document all services in patient medical records
• Review long-term cases regularly
• Consult with Medical Director and other professionals on staff
• Oversee mid-level medical staff and nursing clinical staff
• Assist in resolving complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients

Requirements

• Medical degree and 2 years of direct or intern experience required
• Current Medical License in the state of Michigan
• DEA and DPS Certificate of Registration
• Maintain medical staff privileges
• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform in a tactful and professional manner
