Term: Full-time, 10-month probationary position beginning September 2026

Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, hands-on instruction to students preparing for careers in the Collision Repair industry.
- Teach industry standards, repair procedures, safety practices, and technical skills through authentic shop experiences.
- Implement curriculum aligned with New York State Career and Technical Education standards and current industry practices.
- Participate in curriculum development, advisory committee meetings, faculty meetings, and professional learning opportunities.
- Coordinate guest speakers, field trips, and work-based learning opportunities.
- Work in a team environment that fosters the philosophy of collaborative planning.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, staff, and community partners.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of paid industry experience in vehicle body repair and painting, or an Associate’s degree or higher in vehicle body repair and painting plus 2 years of paid industry experience in vehicle body repair and painting.
- New York State Career and Technical Education Teacher Certification in Vehicle Body Repair and Painting (Grades 7–12) or eligibility and willingness to obtain certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current collision repair techniques, vehicle refinishing, shop safety, and industry practices.
- Commitment to creating an engaging, student-centered learning environment.
- Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
Pay
Salary range: $49,470 – $79,820 per school year. Actual salary is dependent upon education, experience, and contract.
