Collision Estimator (Afternoon Shift)

About the role

The Tesla Collision Repair Program is seeking a Collision Estimator to join their dynamic team. This role involves supporting the Body Repair Program with expertise in all aspects of collision repair for Tesla vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Create repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles.
• Build repair plans in accordance with Tesla-specific repair procedures.
• Direct disassembly technicians to ensure all damages are exposed upfront.
• Communicate with insurance companies to submit claims and billing.
• Direct Collision Technicians to perform repairs where Repair vs. Replace decisions are unclear.
• Update customers on the progress of their vehicle repairs.
• Close billing and deliver the repaired vehicle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of automotive collision damage estimating experience.
• Knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements.
• Proficient with computers and CCC, Audatex, or Mitchell Estimating Software.
• Automotive background; willing to be cross-trained in career-enhancing management roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong customer service abilities.
• I-CAR certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
