About the role

The school counseling program at Spokane Valley Tech is modeled based on recommendations from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) framework. The program aims to serve every student with a particular focus in the areas of academic counseling and planning, social and emotional support, and college and career readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver school counseling programs that improve student outcomes
• Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on the mindsets and behaviors all students need for postsecondary readiness and success
• Close achievement and opportunity gaps
• Improve student achievement, attendance, and discipline
