College of Education: Lecturer or Instructor - Special Education

Responsibilities

Teach undergraduate or graduate level Curriculum & Instruction courses.
Mentor and oversee Graduate Teaching Assistants when appropriate.
Meet with instructors of other sections when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Master’s degree in education or related field for an Instructor title;
  or PhD in education or related field for the Lecturer title
  
• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience or relevant field experience

Preferred Requirements

• Teacher licensure
• Ability to teach in high needs areas of instruction
• Experience teaching in higher education settings
• Experience teaching online courses if you wish to teach an online section

Salary and Appointment Information

• These positions will be filled each semester based on course enrollments and teaching needs for the department.
• These positions are hired between zero and 100% time and will not include benefits.
• Part-time faculty lecturers and instructors are hired to teach at $1,550 per credit hour for each course taught.
• Courses range from 1-4 credit hours.
• The expected start date is January 16, 2027, or as soon as possible thereafter.
• This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
