About the role
The College Mentor will assist students in achieving academic goals through tutoring and study group facilitation, preparing instructional materials, and providing academic mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students individually and in study groups
- Prepare instructional materials
- Mentor students academically
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Currently enrolled college student with a minimum of 30 credit hours
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (transcripts required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
Preferred Requirements
- Prior tutoring and/or mentoring experience
