About the Internship
The Fall College Internship Program is a paid co-op/internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire fall. Through the internship program, interns can attend development workshops focused on key business concepts. This is a paid internship/co-op.

Software Engineering Role
The Software Engineering Intern will work as a member of the Application Development team, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise software solutions that support the organization's digital transformation and business objectives. The intern will gain hands-on experience with modern software engineering practices while delivering meaningful business value through projects aligned with the team's application modernization, automation, and operational excellence strategies.
Responsibilities
- Work as a member of the Application Development team on enterprise software solutions
- Utilize a data entry process as part of the role
- Work with a mentor and support key strategic projects
- Handle work assignments and possible responsibilities that vary according to business need and departmental opportunities, in addition to student's qualifications
- Perform functions that are non-technical and/or technical in nature covering a broad range of business-related projects
- Create and deliver a presentation at completion of internship
- Maintain high standards of integrity by supporting the company's mission and values
- Maintain high regard for member privacy in accordance with corporate privacy policies and procedures
- Perform other functions as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High school diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program)
- Must be in good academic standing
- Desired majors include Software Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or similar degree program
- Preferred skills or experience with: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS and/or Azure
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and deliver high-quality work product
- Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail
- Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks
- Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter-departmental teams where needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time
- Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed
Pay
- Level I: Minimum $18.00 - Maximum $20.00 per hour
- Level II: Minimum $21.00 - Maximum $23.00 per hour
Housing is not provided as part of our internships/co-ops. Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
