About the role
You will facilitate College Track’s LEAD curriculum and college readiness programming, helping scholars explore their purpose, develop leadership skills, and complete critical college access milestones. They also provide individualized college advising to a caseload of scholars, guiding them through the complex process of preparing for, applying to, and enrolling in and matriculating to college.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with scholars, providing culturally relevant support and fostering a strong sense of belonging within College Track.
- Work alongside school staff and partner organizations to create a holistic support network for each scholar, ensuring aligned goals and communication.
- Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 120 high school scholars, ensuring each student is equipped with the support they need to matriculate to college and earn a bachelor’s degree.
Requirements
- Direct experience working with first-generation college-bound students.
- Facilitation skills and the ability to use culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals, including students, caregivers, and teachers.
- Experience tracking and analyzing data to refine strategies and strengthen scholar support.

Pay
This position is Full-Time, non-exempt. The full compensation range for the College Counselor & Advisor in San Francisco is $37.50- 45.67/hour with the exact compensation depending on experience.
Schedule
You are expected to work in the office 11:00-7:00pm or 12:00-8:00pm Monday-Friday.
