Collector II
Responsibilities
- Manage and follow up on accounts using EPIC system and payer portals (BCBS, UHC, etc.)
- Analyze and resolve healthcare reimbursement issues by applying strong EOB knowledge
- Collaborate with hospitals, healthcare providers, and insurance organizations to collect payments
- Prioritize and manage high-volume collections with minimal supervision
- Maintain accurate documentation of account status and collection efforts
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and policies
- Use critical thinking to resolve complex billing issues efficiently
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare collections and billing experience
- Strong EPIC system expertise
- Extensive knowledge of EOB processes and payer portals (BCBS, UHC, Medicare)
- Background working within hospital or healthcare insurance organizations
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and judgment skills
