Responsibilities

• Serve as a key point of contact for members with past due or negative accounts; connecting with them by phone, email, or in person to understand their situation and provide solutions.
• Monitor delinquent loans and arrange repayment plans.
• Document collection activity and perform account research.
• Ensure member records are accurate and up to date.
• Support administrative processes such as processing payment arrangements, preparing notices, assisting with credit reporting, and ensuring documentation is complete for accounts moving toward legal or recovery actions.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with members - approaching each interaction with professionalism, discretion, and care.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive financial conversations tactfully.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify solutions that benefit both the member and the organization.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to document and manage account information effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of First Commerce experience or 1+ year of collections experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus, as it helps us better serve our diverse community.

Pay

• $15.00 per hour.
