Collections Supervisor
About the role
Lead and support a team of Loan Adjusters, creating an environment focused on accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, and performance feedback while ensuring your team has the resources, knowledge, and guidance needed to deliver exceptional service and achieve departmental goals. Serve as a subject matter expert by managing complex and escalated delinquent accounts, helping members, and identifying solutions that protect their financial well-being while minimizing risk to the credit union. Work closely with department leadership, branch staff, and internal business partners to ensure consistent practices, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Loan Adjusters through ongoing coaching, training, and performance management.
- Monitor team productivity, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and foster a positive, high-performing work environment.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex member accounts and make recommendations regarding repayment options, repossessions, foreclosures, legal action, and charge-offs.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes, support departmental initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare reports, attend legal proceedings when necessary, and ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in collections, loan servicing, or a related financial services environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred; a bachelor’s degree may be considered in place of related work experience.
- Valid driver’s license, as this position may require occasional travel throughout the state, sometimes with short notice.

Schedule
Collections Supervisors are required to work 10 AM–7 PM once a week with their team.
