About This Role

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. At TrueAccord, we move away from aggressive collection tactics to provide a modern, helpful experience. As a financial guide, you will use your communication skills to help real people solve problems and regain control of their finances.

Responsibilities

• Be a Financial Guide: Use excellent communication and negotiation skills to connect with consumers, understand their financial situations, and guide them to resolve outstanding balances.
• Drive Results: Proactively manage communication channels—including calls (inbound and outbound), email, and chat—to establish payment plans and meet account resolution goals.
• Champion Our Mission: Uphold high quality and compliance standards while applying an empathetic approach to debt recovery.
• Innovate & Collaborate: Work within a vibrant call center team to find new ways to help consumers achieve financial stability.

Requirements

• A Natural Persuader: Excellent communication skills and a desire to influence positive outcomes. Prior experience in sales, customer retention, or handling objections is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Pay

For U.S.-based hires, the pay rate for this role is $20 per hour. The applicable rate depends on the geographic labor market associated with the employee’s primary work location, along with factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Geographic labor markets are divided into tiers based on cost of living. Example cities for Tier 3 include Kansas City, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The class for this role starts on August 31, 2026.

Onsite & Physical Requirements

This is an on-site position based in our Lenexa office, and regular in-person attendance is essential. The role requires collaboration, participation in in-person meetings, and access to office resources. It involves extended computer-based work, using standard office technology, and communicating through verbal, written, and digital channels. The role may require moving throughout the office and occasionally lifting or moving office materials up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals.
