Collections & Settlement Paralegal

Description

This is not an entry level position. Also (at the risk of stating the obvious), please only apply if you genuinely want to do this type of work, i.e. legal collections, settlement negotiations, reviewing/drafting settlement papers, monitoring settlements, etc.

The Ideal Candidate Must:

• have a strong understanding of the legal process in collections matters
• be capable of reviewing, understanding and summarizing a legal file
• be organized
• be detail-oriented
• have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• be a self-starter and capable of independently handling a caseload

Prerequisites

• have 1+ years as a paralegal with NY civil/commercial litigation/collections experience including NYSCEF filing
• desire and demonstrated ability to crush it. Every. Single. Day.
• be organized and neat
• be flexible and able to work alone and with others
• have great computer (PC) skills

Compensation & Perks

• Hourly Pay: $28.00–$35.00 DOE
• Schedule: Monday to Friday | 40–50 hours/week
