Real Estate Collections Paralegal
About the role
A leading real estate development and management firm is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Collections Paralegal to join its high-performing team. This position is fully on site, with potential for one remote day per week, in Douglaston, NY.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of resident outreach, payment plans, and ledger accuracy
- Management of legal case preparation, documentation, and coordination with counsel
- Ensuring compliance with DHCR and HPD regulations and resolving violations
- Tracking legal actions, updating tenant records, and generating monthly reports
- Preparation of notices, agreements, and legal correspondence
- Monitoring legal expenses and reconciling attorney invoices
Requirements
- Paralegal with a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in real estate law
- Experienced in NYC housing law (DHCR & HPD), tenant relations, and legal compliance
- Skilled in managing legal cases, financial records, and resident communications
- Proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Office with strong analytical and reporting abilities
- Clear communicator with a professional approach to sensitive tenant matters

Pay
Salary Range: $90,000 – 100,000 annually, based on experience
