What’s a typical day as a Collections Representative? You’ll be: Contacting customers directly regarding payment on open accounts receivable.Identifying and resolving underlying issues delaying payment by coordinating with internal departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support, Service, Tax, Logistics, and Accounts Receivable.Reconciling entered/invoiced orders to customer purchase orders and payments received.Preparing collection letters, spreadsheets, and customer account statements as needed.Recommending accounts to be charged off or placed with a third party for collection to the Treasury Supervisor.Producing summarized monthly accounts receivable aging reports, credit memo pending reports, and other reports as required.Alerting the primary Sr. Treasury Associate of any credit concerns.Meeting individual goals as established by management, such as reduction of dollars past due. This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You Have prior experience in collections, accounts receivable, or a related financial role (required).Possess strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with customers and internal teams.Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills for preparing reports and reconciliations.Are comfortable working remotely and managing responsibilities independently.Are able to meet established goals and deadlines with a results-driven approach.Have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (preferred).
