About the role
As a Collections Representative at FIRST Insurance Funding, you will manage a regional or specialty premium finance portfolio, overseeing all aspects of loan servicing. This includes handling service requests, proactive communication, post-cancellation activities, and resolving loss shortages. You will provide superior customer service to borrowers, insurance carriers, general agents, and insurance agents.
Responsibilities
- Process all incoming service requests, including researching and investigating discrepancies, documenting communication, and updating the loan management system.
- Manage a regional or specialty portfolio by preparing, analyzing, and monitoring daily reports, and prioritizing tasks to optimize portfolio performance.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with agents and other external/internal parties.
- Minimize loan aging and exposure by contacting insurance carriers and general agents to confirm cancellations and obtain return premium amounts.
- Verify unearned premium credit (collateral), investigate discrepancies, and follow up for receipt of funds.
- Communicate delinquent payment information to customers via phone and email to prevent loan or policy cancellations and aging.
- Handle miscellaneous tasks and projects within the portfolio as required.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of collections experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Pay
The estimated hourly rate for this role is $20.19 - $26.00, with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual pay may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
