Collections Manager

About the role

The Collections Manager will lead the Accounts Receivable and Collections function for a growing SaaS technology company. This role is approximately 80-85% collections focused and will oversee a team of three while partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Billing and Collections professionals
• Oversee the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, billing, dispute resolution, cash application, and account reconciliations
• Monitor AR aging, DSO, bad debt, and other key performance metrics while identifying opportunities for process improvements
• Establish and enforce customer credit policies and payment terms in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance
• Manage third-party collection agencies and customer escalations as needed
• Support month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting
• Oversee low-volume Accounts Payable and expense report processes while partnering with the accounting team

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing a Collections team
• Strong commercial collections and accounts receivable experience
• Experience working within a large ERP system (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and drive process improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• NetSuite experience
• Bill.com and/or Expensify experience
• Accounts Payable experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Pay, Schedule, & Benefits

• Compensation: $80,000-$90,000 (Firm Maximum)
• Schedule: Hybrid - 4 days onsite in Camarillo and Fridays remote
