COLE503: Technology Externship Program Manager
About the role
This role manages the JerseySTEM 14-week Externship program, where undergraduate students shadow JerseySTEM technology leaders and participate in projects.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and onboard interns
- Ensure interns have a positive experience at JerseySTEM
- Interview incoming interns
- Assign interns to projects with host teams
- Organize virtual learning and social events for college students
- Engage with university advisors
- Show familiarity with early career members
- Work meticulously with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Talented professionals across all departments are sought for this pro-bono position. A minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week is required, including a $100 refundable deposit, which is returned after six months of active membership. K-12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.
Qualifications
Familiarity with early career members and the ability to work with little direction are essential qualifications for this role.
Skills
Meticulously following up with internal and external stakeholders is a key skill for this position.
