About the Artist
Cole Witter (b. 1992) is a photographer & interdisciplinary artist living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from MN, Witter received a BFA from the University of Wisconsin (‘15) where their passion for performance evolved into the study of self-portraiture. Witter’s work is often auto-biographical & explores themes of spirituality, duality & the power of self-transformation.

Collection Details
My Genesis includes five digital photographs that illuminate a journey of transformation and spiritual reconstruction within my queer identity. Growing up in a small town with Evangelical Christian practices was incredibly isolating. This ethereal series is a testament to my newfound queer-spiritual awakening.
