About the role
As a Coiling Jumper, you will support the Coil Spring process by removing coil springs from the conveyor and placing them into the buffer bin. During coiling downtime, you will remove springs from the bin and place them back on the conveyor. You will also assist the coiling operator with coil changes when time allows.
Responsibilities
- Operate a fork truck and overhead crane
- Work independently and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Make mechanically inclined decisions
- Work off-shift as required
- Complete necessary paperwork
- Load material, perform changeovers, and make adjustments during production or tooling changes
- Understand and interact with machine computer functions, PLC controls, and SPC documentation
Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and understand job documentation
- Physical coordination to lift and move product
- Trainable with fork lift truck and crane operation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in math, including English and Metric unit conversions
- Ability to read, use, and understand measuring devices
