Summary of Job
The Facilities Janitor is responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and upkeep of the office and manufacturing areas.
Essential Job Functions
- General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
- Vacuum all carpeted surfaces.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Dust/wipe down all surfaces.
- Clean all restrooms.
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Maintain and stock supply rooms and bathrooms as needed.
- Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Two (2) + years janitorial experience.
Required Education
- A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A sense of hospitality, integrity, pride in your work and a love for cleanliness and organization.
- Initiative to take on tasks without being told and without being monitored.
- Willingness to work early morning or late-night shifts.
- Ability to manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Capacity to take direction.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Some supervising background and a desire to grow in position.
Physical Demands
- Lift and move a minimum of 30 pounds without reason.
