About the role
NeuroRestorative, part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries. As a Cognitive Retraining Specialist you will work 1‑on‑one with 1‑3 clients per day (3+ hours each) in their homes, community settings, work or volunteer locations. Services are tailored to each individual's needs, focusing on building independence through skill development. The role includes two weeks of paid training followed by five weeks of mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Teach memory strategies, planning, budgeting, and problem‑solving
- Promote social and communication skills
- Support safe navigation and community engagement
- Help with study skills and vocational readiness
- Educate families and build natural support systems
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months and reliable transportation
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills
- Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred (no prior experience required)
