Coffee Shop Assistant - PRN - Works As Needed - Sheyenne Crossings Senior Living Apartments

Essential Functions

• Provides excellent customer service to all customers including residents/tenants, staff, and guests.
• Serves menu items according to portion control standards.
• Stocks food and beverage items as assigned.
• Cleans in the coffee shop to include equipment, work area, and seating areas.
• Operates cash registers including following proper procedures for opening and closing, handling money, making change, using credit card machine, and entering items into the POS system.
• Operates coffee shop equipment and safely navigates heat exposure risk near ovens and steamers.
• Organizes and plans work schedule to correlate with service times.
• Serves/organizes items for catering events.
• Fulfills food safety and sanitation protocols by ensuring food is stored, labeled, and handled appropriately.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience in food service is preferred, but not required.
• Completion of food safety and sanitation course or ability to become certified in ServSafe or similar program is preferred.

Pay

Compensation at Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $16-17.92 for Coffee Shop Assistants per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
