About the role
We are looking for a Coding Instructor (Sensei) to join our dynamic, energetic team. Senseis are the lifeblood of the center, overseeing day-to-day coaching and student engagement to provide a fun and safe learning environment. Ideal candidates enjoy teaching, building problem-solving skills in young minds, and have experience mentoring youth.
Responsibilities
- Complete training on the curriculum
- Create a positive and safe environment for student growth
- Assess children's skill sets
- Provide feedback to parents after student tours
- Perform opening and closing duties daily
- Maintain dojo cleanliness to corporate standards throughout the day
- Report weekly to the Center Assistant Manager on progress
- Report daily to the Center Manager on activities and productivity
Qualifications
- Work history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.)
- Experience working with the general public
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, or child care
- Collaborative team player
- Knowledgeable about coding and technology, or able to quickly learn basic concepts
- Fun to work with; thrives in fast-paced environments where requirements change frequently
Pay
$17.75 – $19.75 per hour
