Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license or the ability to obtain one within 90-days of hire.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operates mowers and string trimmers used in maintaining the grounds.
- Set tee markers and cups on greens daily: maintain ball washers; replace tee, towels, and flags when needed and clean flowerbeds.
- Maintain fuel and fluids in all equipment daily and report problems or failures to supervisor immediately.
- Keep all equipment and tools clean.
- Water and fertilize tees, greens, and fairways and landscape areas under supervision.
Physical/Mental Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type, write, handle, drive, or feel: reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Must maintain the ability to work well with others as well as the general public in a variety of situations.
- Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize.
- Must also be able to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflicts.
- This position requires the ability to make independent and sound judgments.
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to the outdoors, in dry, hot, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
- The employee in this position will be required to remain available for immediate call-in due to any natural or manmade disaster, or any other event the Golf Course Director and/or the City Manager deem necessary.
