Code Enforcement Specialist

About the role

A Code Enforcement Specialist plays an active role in achieving long-term customer satisfaction in the context of Community Association relationships. Specific responsibilities will vary with designated communities. Position is located in the Ft. Worth/Mid-Cities area.

Responsibilities

• Notify responsible parties of code issues given in writing, by phone, in person and electronically.
• Respond to and investigate allegations of violations of codes to determine validity of complaints and the appropriate course of action to mitigate issues.
• Investigate and enforce property codes within community boundaries.
• Schedule and perform systematic property maintenance inspections by driving through and walking through the communities to maintain or achieve minimum property standards.
• Utilize company software to upload photos and violations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of company policies, procedures and forms.
• Knowledge of general maintenance requirements (documentation, safety, required reporting, regulations, etc.)
• Knowledge of OSHA worksite and personal safety requirements.
• Knowledge of State or local governmental safety requirements.
• Knowledge of architectural plans and/or drawings at a proficient level.
• Knowledge of conflict resolution techniques at a proficient level.
• Professional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.).
• Professional customer service skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented and a team player.
• Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
• Must have clear driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• 0–3 years of directly related or closely related experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Working conditions

Position involves driving in the Ft. Worth and Mid-Cities areas. A clean driving record is required. Mileage will be paid for use of employee's car until a company car is provided.
