Code Enforcement Officer

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Conducting field investigations regarding possible violations of a variety of City/County codes and ordinances, and related state codes including zoning, nuisance, property maintenance, housing, transportation, and animal and business license/permits, health and sanitation.
• Enforcing local and state codes related to public health, safety, and welfare.
• Investigates and resolves complaints involving general nuisances, substandard housing conditions, and zoning violations.
• Coversite inspections, document findings, and works with property owners to achieve compliance through education, notices, and enforcement actions.
• Collaborates with other departments and agencies as needed and ensures adherence to applicable municipal, state, and federal regulations.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Current PC 832 certification.
• Certification as a Code Enforcement Officer from CACEO or similar organization.
• 1 or more years’ experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• 1 years municipal experience.
