Coconut Grove #18 Server

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Supports fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc.
• Keeps knowledge of Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials
• Accurately writes down guests’ orders and enters into POS system
• Retrieves food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area and delivers to guests
• Absorbs guests’ demeanor and summons a Manager when necessary
• Collects guests’ payments, ensures transactions are correct, calculates and delivers correct change
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness
• Physically stands/walks 100% of shift, reaches, bends, stoops frequently
• Delivers plates, clears tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Speaks, reads, and writes English
• Reads and writes handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.

Qualifications

• Completes and passes Florida Responsible Vendor program
• Completes and passes food safety certification program
• Works five (5) day work week
• Paid vacation available after one year, two years, and ten years

• Must be 21 or over to enroll in 401K plan
