About the role

You’re a key piece of the puzzle, taking great care to make sure every single thing is cleaned and sanitized to the highest of standards. Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.

Responsibilities

• Wash and provide clean and sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies
• Clean and sanitize throughout shift
• Maintain kitchen area cleanliness; sweep, mop, remove debris from floor, etc.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening/closing duties, beautification duties
• Prepare and maintain dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing

Physical demands

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop
• Can immerse hands in water frequently, diluted with chemical solutions
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. several times per shift; lift these heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, freezers
• Work in damp, high temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, pans
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils

Requirements

• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
