COC Equipment Specialist
SRC is a contractor for the U.S. Government. This position will require U.S. citizenship as well as a U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level.
About the role
Providing instruction on the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suite of equipment to include VMs, server management, and communications planning. Providing Staff COC core competencies in the digital battle-space. Providing technical support and guidance to COC operators and watch standers during training exercises and real-world operations.
Responsibilities
- Installing and configuring COC equipment, including servers, workstations, radios, and network devices
- Ensuring all hardware and software configurations comply with Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) standards and protocols
- Performing routine maintenance and diagnostics on COC equipment to ensure operational readiness
- Identifying and resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner
- Coordinating with systems engineers and network administrators for complex troubleshooting
- Integrating COC equipment with Marine Corps Program of Record (POR) systems and other war-fighting functional areas
- Ensuring seamless interoperability between COC systems and external communication platforms
- Maintaining detailed records of equipment configurations, maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting activities
- Preparing reports on equipment status and recommendations for upgrades or replacements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or formal DoD training
- Successful completion of a military or commercial basic instructor course, such as Marine Corps Center for Learning and Faculty Development (CLFD), Facilitating Learning Experience Course (FLEX), CLFD Designing Learning Experience Course (DLEX), Basic Instructor Course (BIC), a college certification course, or an equivalent alternative course
- Five (5) or more years of experience providing formal Period of Instructions (POIs) and supporting C2 training events
- Experience providing POI on COC equipment and COC communications equipment software, hardware, systems, and applications
- Direct experience with setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of COC equipment and communications suite of equipment to include VM management, server management, and communications planning
- Demonstrated experience with the following systems: C2PC/JTCW, TCS, Agile Client & Agile Server, MANGL, THS-V2, GCCS, JBC-P/MMC-S, MCH, CAS, COC OS software, hardware, C2 systems, and applications
- Experience analyzing the effectiveness of training programs and operational plans
- Experience with network administration and networking C2 systems
- Experience with Instructional Systems Design/Systems Approach to Training and Education (ISD/SAT-E) methodologies
- Understanding of Marine Corps Service Level Training Exercise Program (SLTE-P) standards and objectives
- Demonstrated experience with O365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Possess a current CompTIA Security+ certificate
- Possess a current DoD Secret Security Clearance
Skills
- Five (5) or more years of experience supporting MAGTF Operations Center Training Team (MOCTT) and/or MAGTF Integrated Systems Training Centers (MISTCs)
- Demonstrated experience creating and instructing COC equipment and COC Communications equipment POIs
- Active-duty USMC experience with COC Communications equipment and C2 systems
- Possess a current Microsoft Office Specialist Master Certification
Pay
Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $76,350.00/Yr. - USD $127,250.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
