Operations Specialist focused on COBRA and Direct-Bill plan administration, including setup, maintenance, file processing, and member-level transactions.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to security policies and HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain detailed functional knowledge of COBRA and Direct-Bill processes.
- Serve as an internal resource, troubleshoot questions, and resolve issues using product, file, and system expertise.
- Act as a knowledgeable contact for internal departments and external partners.
- Communicate with teams and employers via case management to resolve account discrepancies.
- Resolve cases and tier 3 escalations.
- Create, update, and maintain member plans, balances, and employer plans.
- Process incoming files and accurately report errors.
- Facilitate peer training as requested.
- Identify trends to improve experiences for employers, consultants, partners, and third-party vendors.
- Ensure timely resolution of requests from internal departments, consultants, brokers, and employers.
- Attend one-on-one meetings with supervisor for professional development and goal setting.
- Collaborate with teams and case management to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Create efficiencies and improve processes for employers, consultants, and third-party vendors.
- Maintain a continuous improvement approach to work.
- Participate in ongoing learning, development, and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain attendance, punctuality, and performance metrics.
- Participate in team meetings and one-on-ones via video and phone.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Improve departmental workflow.
Requirements
- Must pass a successful background investigation.
- Computer proficiency.
- Experience with Section 125, HIPAA, and HITECH regulations.
- Experience with administrative software and 10-key/keyboard proficiency.
Pay
Base pay range: $17.00 – $22.50 per hour.
