Cobb - Hatchery Worker (night shift)

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all hatchery equipment using a high pressure and regular water hose.
- Transferring baby chicks from hatching baskets to Chick boxes.
- Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters.
- Set eggs.
- Pad Chick boxes, follow fogging schedule, operate macerator, operate chick counter, operate tray washer, cleanout/break down hatchers for Sanitation maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, and maintain a clean an organized work area.
Requirements
- Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
- Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.).
- Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.
Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must be able to life/move 50 lbs. and must be able to push/pull 500-1000 lbs. Overhead lifting is required. Required to work on wet and slippery surfaces each day.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
- Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and in hot, dry, dusty, wet, and cold environments.
- Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals. Ear plugs and earmuffs will be used as needed.
- Chemicals Commonly Used: Formaldehyde is in use at the facility, disinfectant, lubricants and Virocid.

Pay
$18.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends.
Schedule
Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, including holidays until job is complete. Hours: Beginning 5:00 p.m. until job is complete. Typically, these positions average 40 hours a week. Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.
