Coatings Chemist

About the role

Join a dynamic team at Crafco, a leading manufacturer of coatings and adhesives. We are seeking a Coatings Chemist to join our R&D department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Develop new coating formulations and optimize existing products
• Conduct experiments to test product performance and quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product development timelines are met
• Document research findings and prepare technical reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in chemical formulation and testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with laboratory equipment and techniques

Qualifications

• Knowledge of polymer chemistry and rheology
• Experience with coating formulation and testing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually
