Coatings, Assembly & Shipping Lead

Production & Operations Leadership

• Lead and oversee daily operations of coating, assembly, and shipping departments.
• Cook up workflow between fabrication, finishing, and final shipment to ensure on-time delivery.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust staffing or priorities as needed.
• Ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
• Supervise surface preparation, powder coating, painting, or finishing processes.
• Maintain coating equipment and ensure proper operation and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee final assembly of fabricated components according to blueprints and work instructions.
• Ensure accuracy, fit, and function of assembled products.
• Resolve assembly issues and work with engineering or production teams when needed.
• Cook up packaging, labeling, and shipment of finished goods.
• Verify orders for accuracy before shipment.
• Work with logistics providers and internal teams to meet delivery schedules.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of outgoing products.
• Enforce safety policies, procedures, and proper use of PPE.
• Conduct safety training and ensure team compliance with OSHA or company safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment (5S principles).
• Train, mentor, and develop team members.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Monitor key performance metrics (throughput, scrap rates, on-time shipping).
• Support lean manufacturing and cost-reduction initiatives.

Education & Experience

• A high school diploma or GED is required; technical or trade education is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, coatings, assembly, or manufacturing.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
