Key responsibilities
- Supervise, coach and mentor a warehouse staff of 3 - 6 employees, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of orders and shipments to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and achieve shipping deadlines consistently by delegation of workflow and priority.
- Maintain employee records: weekly timecards, attendance points, annual reviews, PEs, write-ups, etc.
- Ensure accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
- Accurately pull IT equipment, verify, and scan items to create stock transfers and BOL’s utilizing the OFT dashboard.
- Store items in bins, shelves, or other specified locations; update locations, maintain stock, and notify appropriate personnel of all discrepancies.
- Work from shipping papers, bill of lading, packing slips, work orders and written and verbal instructions.
- Use hand carts, mobile pallet jacks and motorized forklifts to safely transport and load/unload parts and materials.
- Exercise proper care and use of equipment and materials.
- Perform warehouse duties in all areas of the warehouse as assigned or directed. Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Other duties as assigned by department.
Experience and/or Education Requirements
- 6 months+ warehouse or shipping experience
- Basic math skills to count IT equipment with speed and accuracy.
- Use organizational tools such as internal computer software to locate and gather stock with handheld devices, and bar code scanners.
- Able to get forklift certified within 3 months
Experience and/or Education Preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred IT or relevant electronic experience
- Knowledge of how to use a shrink wrap machine
