Coating Technician

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Coating Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, hands-on production role in a small shop environment where your work directly impacts quality and output.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts onto racks for coating
• Operate coating equipment following established procedures
• Inspect finished parts for quality and consistency
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Track production output and report progress to supervisor
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
• Use brush to hand-paint areas in need of retouching or unreachable with a spray gun
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects or deviations from standards, and make adjustments as necessary
• Turn dials, handwheels, valves, or switches to regulate conveyor speeds, machine temperature, air pressure and circulation, and the flow or spray of coatings or paints
• Attach hoses or nozzles to machines, using wrenches and pliers, and make adjustments to obtain the proper dispersion of spray
• Start and stop operation of machines, using levers or buttons
• Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner
• Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable consistent attendance is essential
• Ability to work independently and stay on task
• Prior manufacturing or production experience a plus, but not required (we will train the right person)

Monday-Friday, full-time
