Coating Technician

About the role

The Coating Technician plays a crucial part in our dynamic manufacturing team, applying specialized coatings to precision optics essential for groundbreaking technologies. Using state-of-the-art equipment, the technician ensures adherence to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and performs routine inspection and measurement of substrates to ensure quality.
• Performs spin cleaning operations and works on smaller optics.
• Packages optical components.
• Sets up tooling.
• Loads parts into chambers.
• May begin training on tooling fit checks/reviews.
• Reads and comprehends process sheets.
• Understands chemical handling and FOD control.
• Understands safety procedures and cleanroom protocols.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Stands for extended periods and handles equipment safely.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Previous work experience in process manufacturing environment desired, but not required.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and cleanroom protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident due to controlled information facility requirements.
