What You'll Do
- Operate Tesla’s coating lines, requiring highly skilled work in monitoring and adjusting coating die heads
- Monitor and adjust the NMP recovery process in the coated cathode production line, including parameter adjustments to maintain the process within defined specifications
- Complete standard work process and follow work instructions, procedures, and rotate as required
- Demonstrate flexibility as needed by the business
- Escalate technical and process issues to the appropriate support groups and leaders
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures and demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Maintain exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shifts
What You'll Bring
- Manufacturing/industrial experience, 3-5 years preferred
- Experience in large or small scale manufacturing in a production process role
- Experience with operating and troubleshooting automated/semi-automated manufacturing equipment, basic mechanical troubleshooting preferred
- Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred, but not required
- Command of the English language, both written and verbal with ability to understand and record maintenance procedures, shift pass downs
- Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-driven contributor with limited supervision
Essential Physical Demands
- Able to perform assembly work and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs., climb and descend a 10” step, and ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Squat, lay, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Exposures to hazardous materials used and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment for up to 12 hours per day, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, half-face respirators, powered-air purifying respirators (PAPRs), gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
